I went online this morning to do a quick Google search for prayers in the Bible that I could pray over friends and family. I was very surprised – and unhappy – to find almost no blog posts on scriptures to pray for others. So here’s a partial list – you can change the tense or person (you to he/she, etc.) to fit your prayer. Please feel free to post your favorites in the comments!
Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well. 3 John 1:2
May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ. 2 Thessalonians 3:5
